Car hire – the only real way to see things
If you are on holiday and are the sort of person that enjoys getting around and seeing things, in many locations, car hire may be your only real way of doing so.
The reality of life is that in many countries, public transport outside of major urban centres is typically limited, infrequent and seemingly never heading in your direction.
This is important for those of us that enjoy getting off the beaten track. If you are trying to explore an area and wish to avoid the major tourist centres, a car may make it possible for you to do so and to maximise your relaxation time in the process.
Sometimes it is amazing how many beautiful spots and unique locations are waiting to be discovered. They remain relatively unknown because, for one reason or another, they have simply never made it onto the major tourist itineraries.
In a sense, this is wonderful because they offer an opportunity to live the local culture rather than something that has been created for the mass tourist market.
Car hire gives you the independence to set off and explore in whichever direction takes your fancy and it is only by doing so that you are likely to discover those great hidden gems, as they may not exist in any of the established tourist guides.
Cheap car hire has been with us for many decades now, however, that is not to say that it is necessarily the norm.
You may be able to enjoy your touring with a little more peace of mind if you believe that you have one of the best car hire deals around and to be confident of that, you might be advised to consider arranging your rental in advance (remembering that what’s best for others may not be among the best car hire deals for you).
It is typically the case in life that we are able to find and negotiate advantageous deals when we are not under time pressures or operating in panic mode. If you have arrived at your destination airport, port or train station, you may not find that you are necessarily in the best position to find the most attractive car hire deals – so the moral of the tale may be to think ahead!
My France dream came true
Like most of the people in the world, I too was dreaming about my honeymoon in France. When my D’DAY arrived, I and my fiancé started searching online for the cheap and reliable car rental companies that operate around France. After few minutes of browsing Car Hire Geneva Airport had good reviews from its happy customers who recommend this as they are charging reasonable rates. I too got convinced with their terms and conditions and preceded further to fill the query form. There were separate fields to feed details about the driving person, car rental duration, location for pickup/drop off and date and time details. I filled them and submitted to get a page with pictures of various car makes of different sizes and price range. I chose a 2 seat special car and took insurance for theft protection and accident protection. I paid the local taxes, airport fares etc for convenience. Once the payment is done, I received a voucher which could be redeemed at the airport. When I reached France, I was happy to see my booked car waiting at the airport and I signed the documents and took the car for my drive on the roads of France.
